Three arrested in theft cases
The police caught a driver, Surla Raju Babu, who stole five tola gold chain from his employer's house a few days ago, said the police.
Hyderabad: The SR Nagar police on Thursday arrested three people for their alleged involvement in different cases reported in various parts of the city, including S R Nagar.
According to the police, in the first case, a ladies tailor was arrested by the police for allegedly stealing mobile phones from commuters in public transport and selling it off at cheaper prices. The woman, identified as G. Naga Laxmi, 34, a resident of Saroo-rnagar, used to get into RTC buses during rush hours and steal mobile phones and money. She was involved in about 20 cases in Kukatpally, Chaderghat, Narayanguda, Saidabad and LB Nagar police station areas. The police recovered property worth Rs 3.5 lakh from her.
In another case, the police caught a driver, Surla Raju Babu, who stole five tola gold chain from his employer’s house a few days ago, said the police.
In yet another case, the police arrested a driver of a travel company for stealing a car. The owner of the vehicle, T. Rajasekhar Reddy, said that the driver D. Sai Kumar Reddy took an Innova Crysta car parked in the garage a few days ago. Based on the complaint the police arrested him and recovered the car.
