Hyderabad: Bus worker held for harassing woman

A case for outraging the modesty of a woman and under charges of Criminal Amendment Act, 2013, was registered.

Hyderabad: A retired IPS officer’s daughter-in-law was harassed by a private bus employee in Jubilee Hills. The police found that the suspect, Zuhad, deliberately touched the victim, when she came to pick her children. 

Based on the evidence from CCTV cameras, the police arrested him.

According to the police, 29-year-old victim, staying in Prashasan Nagar, came to the main road on Friday evening to pick their children from the school bus. 

The bus, where the accused was working, was also parked nearby. As she was accompanying the children, Zuhad who was alone in the bus, deliberately touched and harassed her.

" The CCTV footages showed clearly how he misbehaved with her and harassed her. He is arrested and will be produced before the court." said Mr S Venkat Reddy, inspector of the Jubilee Hills police station.
