Kotoor sub-inspector booked for rash driving near Pollachi

POLLACHI: Coimbatore district police have lodged a complaint against Kotoor sub-inspector who knocked down a motorist while at the wheel of his car and sped away. Police said, Murugan, 44, a resident of Palamanallur near here, riding his motorbike couple of days ago, was knocked down by a speeding car at Bagothipalayam and thrown off his vehicle.

Murugan suffered serious injuries. Passersby   admitted him to a private hospital at Pollachi.  After verifying CCTV camera footage on Thursday evening, police confirmed that the car driver was Kotoor police sub-inspector inspector Ponniah.
