Hyderabad: Two women from Maharashtra and Karnataka were rescued from a brothel run under the guise of a saloon at Miyapur and four persons including two women were arrested by the police on Sunday.
Acting on a tip-off, the Miyapur police raided Lavish Family Saloon at SVH Plaza in Miyapur and found that two women were trafficked from Karnataka and Maharashtra, and were forced into the flesh trade.
One Koti Swamy, who owns the parlour, had employed four persons — Mahesh, Nikhil SA, Pooja Rameshwar and Johara Begum — to run the saloon and organise the brothel, about 10 days ago.
During the raids, the customers fled away on seeing the policemen. The accused confessed to having committed the offence.
A case has been registered under Immoral Trafficking (Prevention) Act against the accused and the victims were sent to a rescue home for rehabilitation and care, said the Miyapur police. Cops seized Rs 12,630 cash, condom packets and mobile phones from the accused.
