Man booked for sexually assaulting relative in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The Banjara Hills police booked a case against a man for allegedly offering a drink laced with sedatives to his relative and raping her. 

According to sources, the accused, Nikhil, a native of Karnataka, was a resident of Film City in the city and had gone to visit his relative’s family in Banjara Hills area. “When the victim, the daughter of his sister-in-law, was alone at home, he mixed sedatives with a soft drink and asked her to have the same. Once she fell unconscious, he allegedly sexually assaulted her and went back to his place,” sources said. 

Following a complaint from the victim’s family, a case was booked against the man by the Banjara Hills police.
