Hyderabad: Rachakonda Special Operations Team busted a racket that was organising betting on the ongoing IPL matches and nabbed four persons including two bookies, two punters while accepting the betting amount at LB Nagar. Cops seized Rs 62,080 and four mobile phones from their possession.
The arrested persons were identified as M. Narsimhulu, P. Baswaraju, M. Swamy and C. Ramesh.
According to police, the suspects had been receiving bets from candidates for the match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals held on Monday. They had been organising the racket at the fast food center owned by Narsimhulu.
Based on a tip-off, Baswaraju and Narsim-hulu were caught red-handed while accepting bets and were handed over to the LB Nagar police.
