Man found murdered in Afzalgunj
On receiving information, the Afzalgunj police visited the spot along with the CLUES team and the dog squad.
Hyderabad: A 35-year-old man was murdered by unidentified men at Chaderghat area of Afzalgunj in the wee hours of Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Deepak Singh, a labourer who used to stay on the pavement near Sai Baba temple in Chaderghat area.
On Sunday morning, locals found him lying in a pool of blood on the pavement, with deep injuries on his head and other parts of the body.
On receiving information, the Afzalgunj police visited the spot along with the CLUES team and the dog squad. A murder case was booked and being investigated.
According to Afzalgunj police inspector, Gnanendra Reddy, Singh is suspected to have been attacked while he was in an inebriated condition and that a previous enmity is suspected to have led to the murder.
“Deepak was a drunkard and had frequent fights with other labourers and vagabonds in the area over them occupying places on the pavement,” said the official.
“Apart from this, for the past two months, he had been having an alleged affair with a woman,” the official added.
Afzalgunj police formed a special team to nab the suspects.
