Hyderabad: Thanvish 2nd child run over in 3 weeks

Hyderabad: The death of the three-year-old Thanvish, who was run over by a school bus on Tuesday, was the second such incident on the city outskirts in the past three weeks and the fourth this year. 

The boy came under the front left wheel of the bus when he was crossing the road. The police has registered a case against the bus driver Anil, for causing death due to negligence and has taken him into custody.

The deceased, Burra Thanvish was the younger son of B. Narasimha Goud, a lorry driver, and B. Swathi, residents of Taram-athipet in Abdulla-purmet mandal.

At about 7.40 am on Tuesday, Narasimha and his two sons Jashwanth and Thanvish stood on the road in front of their house as five-year-old Jashwanth boarded the school bus. He was studying in nursery in Shantiniken School at Hayathnagar.

After Jashwanth was on board, Narasimha and Swathi walked towards the rear of the bus, but Thanvish ran towards the front. The driver did not see the boy and drove into him, causing grievous injuries to his head and legs and killing him instantly.

On June 25, 21-month-old M. Adhya was mowed down by a school bus at Shabad on the city outskirts, when she along with her mother went to take her elder brother to the school bus. 

On May 14, a seven-year-old boy was run over by a college bus at Keesara. The boy, Lakshmi Deepak was crossing the main road in Ahemdguda when the bus belonging to Gitanjali College of Engineering and Technology hit him.

On January 20, P. Anjali (6), a resident of Vanasthalipuram, was run over by a school bus she was travelling in after she was thrown out when the driver took a sudden turn off the road to avoid a speed breaker.
