Abducted kids jump out of auto in Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal: Two children, a girl (8) and her brother (6), here on Saturday thwarted an abduction bid by an auto driver by jumping out of his vehicle. The minors, identified as Sangeeta and Rohit, suffered bleeding injuries following the incident.

According to T.T Nagar police here, the kids were on way to school when the auto driver offered them a lift. They promptly hopped on to the auto but later smelt a design by the driver to kidnap them.

The siblings then jumped out of the speeding auto. They reached their home and narrated the incident before their parents who reported the matter to the police.

Police later arrested the auto driver, Dheeraj Rathore, on charges of attempting to kidnap the two children. In another incident, an eight-year-old girl died in a freak mishap when she got her neck entangled in the rope while enjoying a swing in her house here on Saturday.

The girl was immediately freed from the swing rope and rushed to the hospital where doctors declared him brought dead, police said here.
