THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala police say that there has been  no confirmed cases related to the  Blue Whale Challenge in the state. The police Cyberdome, which has intensified the cyber patrolling for Blue Whale over the last couple of months, could not track any links of the game's administrators. “We believe that the alleged links of Blue Whale with some incidents in the state were just out of scare," a senior police officer said.

The computers and the mobile phones used by some youths who recently committed suicide were subjected to forensic analysis after their kith and kin alleged Blue Whale influence. But no trace of Blue Whale game could be seen, said the police. Meanwhile, the awareness programmes being launched by the state police against the online  game has received a pat from the centre. A brief awareness video is being circulated on the cyber space. Awareness programmes for students, parents and teachers are also being chalked out by the police. Similar models may be replicated in other states too.
