Tea vendor held for cheating in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A tea stall owner of Tirumala used the TTD name to defraud people. Y. Rambhoopal Reddy, 26, cheated a spiritual leader from Karim-nagar and her disciples of Rs 18 lakh. He also cheated several Hyderabadis promising them jobs in TTD.

Reddy pretended to be a TTD official and asked candidates to pay commission for jobs. He used to stay in lodges and befriend employees. The victims were made to deposit money in the accounts of lodge staffers. Reddy took the money. A SOT team nabbed him on Monday.
