Three-year-old girl kidnapped from shopping mall rescued
Hazkia Hani was found in Narsi town in Maharashtra on Sunday
NIZAMABAD: A three-year-old girl who had been kidnapped from a shopping mall here on Friday was found at Narsi in Nanded district of Maharashtra on Sunday.
The parents of Hazkia Hani, who belongs to Gajulpet in Jagtial, had come to Nizamabad for shopping at a mall. After some time they noticed that Hazkia had gone missing. They immediately alerted the shopping mall staff and began searching in the mall premises. When she could not be found, the parents lodged a complaint with the local police.
The police upon examining CCTV footage noticed a burqa-clad woman taking away Hazkia. The Nizamabad commissionerate police immediately formed special teams and launched a search for the victim and her kidnapper.
Nizamabad commissioner of police Kartikeya declared a reward of Rs 50,000 for anyone giving information that would lead the police to the kidnappers.
The police had alerted their counterparts in Maharashtra over the possibility that Hazkia could be taken across state borders. Her picture was widely shared on social media in an effort to elicit information from anying sighting her.
She was found in Narsi town in Maharashtra on Sunday. Local police rushed to the spot and brought Hazkia back to Nizamabad and handed her over to her parents.
