Assault video: Jubilee Hills Police Register Case Against PA of Maganti Gopinath
Hyderabad: Jubilee Hills Police registered a suo motu case against Madhava Bhaskar, reportedly the personal assistant of Jubilee Hills MLA Maganti Gopinath, and another person N Lalith Kumar for allegedly assaulting a man. A video went viral on social media in which the accused were seen brutally assaulting a youngster. According to the police, the incident took place in Yousufguda area at 2 a.m. on Sunday. The victim is Chandu, a native of Guntur district in Andhra Pradesh.
Police have registered an attempt to murder case against Bhakar and his friends and have also detained the duo. In the video, Bhaskar was seen beating the victim with a stick. They are being produced before the court, while a hunt is on for other members of the group who are involved in the incident.
According to the police, Lalith saw Chandu talking to a woman and questioned him on what he was doing there at that time. This led to an argument and Chandu kicked Lalith’s bike.
Further, Chandu hurled a stone at Lalith and his friends which hit Bhaskar on his head, leaving him with a deep injury. Angered by this, Bhaskar and his friends started beating Chandu. The video showed Chandu was pinned down to the ground and beating and kicking him repeatedly.
Meanwhile, Maganti Gopinath was not available to comment on the incident, pictures of Bhaskar moving very closely with the MLA are widely circulated on social media platforms.
