After Kavitha returned home in the early hours, Raju murdered her
HYDERABAD: Suspecting his wife’s fidelity allegedly an auto driver murdered her and later hanged himself at his house in Rajiv Gandhi nagar, under Jawaharnagar police station on Thursday.
G. Sudhakar, the auto driver G. Raju’s brother, informed the police about the incident.
"At 3.45 pm we received a dial 100 call from Gaddala Sudhakar, brother of the victim G. Kavitha. We rushed to the crime scene and found bodies of Kavitha (36) and her husband (41)," K. Chandra Shekar, inspector of Jawaharnagar police station said.
Raju slit his wife Kavita’s throat with a sharp cutter and then hanged himself to the ceiling fan, police said.
After Kavitha returned home in the early hours, Raju murdered her. Around 2.15 pm he informed Sudhakar on phone that he had murdered his wife and has decided to end his life, police said.
On November 6, Raju had suspected his wife’s fidelity and after a heated argument, he dropped her at her work place in Moula-Ali, where she worked as a maid servant, police said.
After returning home Raju had complained to his brother-in-law Sudhakar on phone about Kavita’s fidelity.
The couple was staying in Rajiv Gandhi Nagar for the past 16 years. They leave behind a 16-year-old daughter G. Sravani and 12-year-old son G. Siddartha,
Clues team visited the scene of offence and collected the samples and other evidence.
Police shifted the bodies for preservation at Gandhi hospital mortuary for post-mortem.
