Illness forces school teacher to end life
A 50-year-old government school teacher committed suicide in Shamshabad.
Hyderabad: Depressed over ill-health, a 50-year-old government school teacher committed suicide in Shamshabad. Police said C. Alivelu Manga was suffering from thyroid disorder and hanged herself at home. Police said that Alivelu Manga, a resident of RB Nagar in Shamshabad, was working as a teacher at the Government High School in Siddapur village in Shadnagar district. She was unmarried and was staying with her parents. Since five years she had been suffering from hypothyroid disorder and was on medication. But as there was no cure she was depressed, police said.
On Friday while her parents were away from home she committed suicide after returning from school. When her parents returned home in the evening they found her hanging on the ceiling. Based on a complaint from her father Shesha Chary, police registered a suspicious death case and handed over the body to her parents after post-mortem.
