Hyderabad: Shocking facts have surfaced in the investigation of the death of a pregnant woman at Kondapur. After analysing hundreds of CCTV cameras in Kondapur and surroundings, cops zeroed in on around 15 cameras from Siddiqui Nagar under Madhapur Police station area near Botanical Gardens till Anjaiah Nagar under Raidurgam Police station, it was found that the suspects who killed the woman did not travel in a car, but were on a bike. Most important clue that the cops found was that the bike was a Yamaha make in blue colour and without a front mudguard.

After coming to the conclusion that the suspects did a complete circuit starting from Siddiqui Nagar to Botanical Gardens and then in the opposite direction to Anjaiah Nagar, Cyberabad cops conducted a marathon search operation in the early hours of Sunday and searched over 1500 houses located in Anjaiah Nagar and Siddiqui Nagar to trace a bike without a mudguard, but in vain.

Cops also retrieved the registration number of the bike and traced the owner, but found that he had sold the bike almost a decade ago. “Since both locations are located around 2 kms from the spot where the body was dumped, the offence could have taken place in one of these two areas only”, a senior cop said. Even while cops were investigating the footage, images of the accused went viral on social media, which forced cops to issue a clarification.

“It was wildly rumoured that the Botanical murder case mystery accused was traced on Facebook. This is not true. Till now, the police has got some CCTV visuals and are analysing them. Some WhatsApp groups are circulating some images of the accused without any official confirmation. As the case is under investigation, without proper proofs baseless allegations will damage one's image, self respect, dignity and personality. It also leads to defamation and other legal consequences and problems”, an official release from Cyberabad Police said.

Cops who had come to a conclusion that two persons were involved in the brutal murder, now suspect that a woman is also involved, as the images in the footages showed a woman riding pillion with two boys similar to that of the ones in which the deceased’s body was packed. “We are almost sure that the bikers have killed the woman, but unless we trace them, we cannot conclude that, as they could also be a couple shifting their luggage at odd hours due to various issues. But the same bike that had started from Siddiqui Nagar and completed a whole circuit to end at Anjaiah Nagar, strengthens the suspicions that the same bike was involved in the murder”, the Cops said. The bike is registered in the name of a city based employee working for a private company.  But he had sold the bike to a  different person and since then it had changed three hands.
