Hyderabad: Principal thrashes student for coming late to school
The incident happened on Tuesday morning when Ajaz was trying to enter his class.
Hyderabad: A Class VII student was allegedly thrashed by a school principal at Rasoolpura for coming late.
The student, Ajaz Shareef, of Vishwa Bharathi High School, was injured on his arms, chest and back as the principal caned him. The suspect, Nirmal Chadda, also pinched and twisted the nipples of the boy injuring him. The victim and his parents approached the Begumpet police, who has started an inquiry.
The incident happened on Tuesday morning when Ajaz was trying to enter his class. Since he was 15 minutes late he was caught by the principal.
“Due to some personal reasons the boy was a little late to reach the school. The principal caught hold of him and thrashed him several times to humiliate him in front of other students. He caned the boy several times injuring him. Seeing the bleeding injuries on his body we took him to hospital and got him first aid,” said Krishank Manne, a Congress leader of the Cantonment area.
The boy alleged that the teacher did not stop caning him till he started bleeding. When the boy’s parents and some local activists reached the school to confront the teacher, the management closed down the school and went absconding.
