Warangal: The accused No. 2 B. Prashanth in the SSC Hindi question paper leak case denied allegations made by Warangal police commissioner A.V. Ranganath against him that he had made more than 140 calls to BJP state chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar thus making both party to the “conspiracy”.

He said he made on phone call to Sanjay Kumar and spoke for 40 seconds and when the latter asked him to write a short press note as his personal assistant was not available, he had written it and shared it through whatsapp.

"There is no truth in the allegations made by police commissioner Ranganath that is why we got bail and justice has won,” he said.

With sanctioning of bail by the Kazipet Railway Court the three accused persons of SSC (Secondary School Certificate) Hindi question paper leakage case B.Prashanth, G.Mahesh and M.Shiva Ganesh were released from Karimnagar Jail on Wednesday.

Speaking to the media persons, Prashanth alleged that the police officials unnecessarily dragged him into the case, even though he was not responsible for the leakage of the question paper.

He said that the question paper leakage took place at around 10.05 am and he received it on his whatsap at 10.45 am. Since he was a journalist the same post was circulated to some of his journalist friends and to political party leaders.

"The police officials lodged a case against me illegally but ultimately justice has won with the court sanctioning bail to him," he added.

He said that he totally cooperated with the police officials after arresting him on April 4 in the evening at around 6pm by opening the lock of his mobile phone and informing them complete details of what he came to know regarding the question paper leakage.

“I got several calls from journalist friends from Warangal, Karimnagar and Hyderabad when I was in the police custody. In the past as a journalist I had taken up several issues pertaining to students and exposed them getting them justice. How can I think of spoiling the future of students,” he said.
