Telangana: Farmer tries to assault woman, held

A case for outraging the modesty of a woman was registered and Chinnu was arrested on Thursday. He was later sent to remand.

Hyderabad: Cyberabad police on Thursday arrested a farmer from Shamshabad for sexually harassing a woman in his farmhouse. The suspect, identified as M Chinnu, employed the woman to work on daily wages at his farm house.

SI L. Ramesh Naik, RGI Airport Police Station said that Chinnu hails from Narkhuda village. On Wednesday  morning, he engaged two women aged 35 and 25 from the labour adda to work on his farmhouse. He drove them to the farm on his bike.

After reaching the place, he was told by the contractor to return the women as there were enough number of workers at the site.

While going back to the adda to drop the women, Chinnu stopped his bike at an isolated location where he tried to sexually harass one of the female workers.

The two fled from the spot and lodged a complaint against him with the police.
