Chennai: Three months after a merciless trio waylaid and mugged her off Old Mahabalipuram Road, Lavanya, who survived the brutal assault, visited city police commissioner A.K. Viswanathan to thank the police and called the Chennai police her family, on Friday.
“It would have taken one year to recover. But I recovered very soon because of the moral support given by police and the Tamil Nadu government,” she told mediapersons.
The Vijayawada-based software engineer P. Lavanya Jahath was riding her two-wheeler on Thalambur – Perumbakkam Road to reach her office in Navalur early morning of February 13.
