Police said she was in an affair with Venkateswara Rao, a mechanic of gas stoves.
Vijayawada: A woman killed her father with the help of her lover, police said on Wedneday. After the body of Kaja Krishna Prasad, 68, was found on July 1 about 100 km away from her home, his daughter Lingamaneni Seshu Kumari, 39, told the police that she did not suspect anyone.
It was after a thorough investigation that police found that Seshu Kumari and her lover Vemula Venkateswara Rao, 59, had killed Krishna Prasad to prevent him from speaking about their affair. They were arrested on Wednesday. Police said Seshu Kumari used to stay Tukkuluru of Nuziveedu in Krishna district, as her son was doing his engineering at a college nearby. She had lost her husband in 2011.
Police said she was in an affair with Venkateswara Rao, a mechanic of gas stoves. Her father Krishna Prasad, who stays at nearby Angaluru, found out about the affair when he came to stay her and warned the man.
Seshu Kumari and Venkateswara Rao threw him on to the bed, gagged him and beat him to death. They took the body in the car to Puritigadda, about 100 km away, and disposed it of.
