Newlywed dies in road mishap in Thiruvananthapuram

Three killed in 2 accidents involving KSRTC buses.

Thiruvananthapuram: A 33-year-old newlywed man and two women have been killed in two separate accidents happened within a span of 24 hours involving KSRTC buses.

The police identified the man as Mr Victor, 33, of Eupheraine Villa, Pulunthuruthi, Kaattayam, Chirayinkeezhu. He was hit from behind and was ran over by a KSRTC bus in front of Brahmos Aerospace near All Saints Tuesday afternoon.
Son of Vavachan Bernard and Lillykutty, he got married to Christina only on October 19.

He was heading to Perumathura on his two-wheeler when the bus from Kaniyapuram depot hit him. He was taken to Medical College hospital in an ambulance from nearby Chackai fire station and was declared dead at the hospital.

Victor also leaves behind his twin brother Fr. Wingston, the former assistant vicar of Madre De Deus Church, Vettucaud. The body will be handed over to relatives after an autopsy.

In the second accident, two young women were killed after a KSRTC bus rammed into their scooter at Pallipuram near Mangalapuram on Monday evening.

The deceased were identified as Neenu Prasad, 19, of PS House, Nedumparambu, Nagaroor near Kilimanoor and Anuja, 25, of Vilayil House, Nedumparambu.

The accident happened near Pallipuram CRPF camp when the women were coming with groceries from Kazhakoottam. The bus from Parassala depot was heading from Attingal to Parassala.

Ms Anuja died on arrival at Medical College Hospital whereas Neenu died en route to the hospital. She leaves husband Santhosh Kumar and daughter Vaigha.
Neena, the daughter of Prasad and Sreelatha, was a first-year Bharatanatyam student of Perumbavoor Sanskrit College. She also leaves brother Nithin Prasad.
