Visakhapatnam police arrest 6 for murder of Adivasi man
Visakhapatnam: The S Kota police in Visakhapatnam district have arrested six persons in connection with the murder of 42-year-old Pangi Arjuna, an Adivasi man who was found shot dead near Kotha Addateegala village on November 9 evening.
Arjuna, a resident of Gumma village in Alluri Sitarama Raju district, was working as a watchman of a small piece of land at Kotha Addateegala. He went to the nearby forest area to attend nature's call on November 9 afternoon but did not return home.
Locals found Arjuna severely injured in a pool of blood in the evening hours of the same day and alerted his wife Kanthamma. He died before the ambulance arrived.
The S Kota police rushed to the spot and found that he had been shot by a country-made gun by wild boar hunters.
The police have registered a case under Section 304 (II) of the IPC (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) and Sections 25 and 27 of the Arms Act.
