Four arrested in jewellery shop employee assault case

Mangaluru: Mangaluru City Police have arrested four people in connection with  the assault on a jewellery shop employee in the city.

The arrested include Chethan Kumar, Prakash, Shibin Padikal, and Ganesh.
The incident took place about a week ago where a group allegedly from saffron outfits barged into a jewellery shop in the City and assaulted a male employee of the shop for being spotted repeatedly with a Hindu girl. The girl was an employee of the same shop.

It is said that the group had accompanied the parents of the girl into the shop.
Three cases were taken up by the police in connection to the case. While the boy had complained of assault and rioting, the mother of the girl had complained about the boy abusing her and threatening dire consequences. The Jewellery shop had complained about trespass and rioting.
