Bengaluru: Security guard attacked, robbed of Rs 200

Bengaluru: Two incidents of robbery, including an attack on a security guard, were reported in different parts of the city on Tuesday.

In the first incident, unidentified robbers assaulted a security guard in Bhuvneshwwari Nagar in T. Dasarahalli with an intention to rob him.

The thieves could not find much cash with him except Rs 200. Later they snatched his mobile phone and fled.

The incident took place around 5:30 am when the victim Shankaraiah was on duty.

In another incident, a cigarette supplier was robbed of Rs 1.5 lakh by two bike-borne thieves in Hennur police station limits.

The supplier identified as Syed was returning home after collecting money for his supply from several shops.  The Hennur police have registered a case.
