Hyderabad: An event organiser of Raidurgam was booked for playing music at a Holi event without obtaining permission from the police.

Police said that at around 1.30 pm on Sunday, patrol teams heard loud music being played at the Khajaguda Municipal Ground where a Holi event was going on.

As the music was too loud and disturbing to people nearby, police told the organisers to stop playing it.

After that the police checked with organiser Sravan if he had obtained permission to play music at the Holi event.

Police found that the organisers had got permission only for organising the event but had no permission to play music loudly.

“A petty case under the City Police Act was registered against the organiser of the Holi event for violating orders of the city police commissioner,” Raidu-rgam sub inspector Y. Ramesh said.
