Telangana: Three men arrested for robbery

Police said the trio robbed two people at Allagadda Bavi in Secunderabad.

Sanathnagar police arrested K. Ramachandra Reddy, a 30-year-old realtor, for allegedly cheating G. Venkat Reddy, a businessman, of nearly Rs 25 lakh.

Hyderabad: Gopalapuram police arrested three persons, including a degree student, for robbery on Monday. The arrested men are Anaberi Shashikanth Rao, 22, Pasupula Kumar alias Hemanth Kumar, 20, both working for a pest control firm, and Kavuri Rathna Kiran Chowdary alias Vicky, 19, a degree first year student.

Police said the trio robbed two people at Allagadda Bavi in Secunderabad. “The three are addicted to alcohol, ganja and roaming around the city. They wanted money and decided to rob strangers and those who appeared weak late in the night,” said Gopalapuram ACP K. Srinivas Rao.

“The trio robbed two men and shared the booty. Basing on their track record we concluded that they gather at a specific place to smoke ganja and nabbed them,” the Assistant Commis-sioner added. The trio were booked under relevant sections of IPC and remanded to custody.
