Telangana: Cab driver held for baby's death
The incident occurred around 8.45 am on Thursday when the boy, Jaswanth, was crossing the road in Saroornagar.
Hyderabad: The absconding cab driver, whose car ran over a two-year-old boy in Saroornagar, was arrested on Saturday. According to the police, the driver, B. Tirupathi, helped locals to rush the boy to the hospital and fled after the boy succumbed to his injuries.“He was panicked when he got to know that the boy died,” said the police, and added that it was his brother’s car which he was using for his travels business.
The incident occurred around 8.45 am on Thursday when the boy, Jaswanth, was crossing the road in Saroornagar. “The boy had gone to a local shop with his uncle to buy sweets. The boy was crossing the road alone when the speeding cab dashed him from behind,” said the police. The car driver apparently did not notice the boy and dragged him. The police has booked a case under Section 304 A of the IPC.
