Attica Gold Company managing director beats up staffer, booked
Kumar told the police that he was working at the firm for a year, but was not getting his salary for the last three months.
BENGALURU: A case has been registered against founder and managing director of Attica Gold Company Babu alias Bommanahalli Babu for allegedly assaulting a 33-year-old employee of his firm.
The victim, Praveen Kumar, a resident of Manjunath Nagar, working as a system engineer in Attica Gold, in his complaint to the Vidhan Soudha police has stated that Babu, his son and two of their bouncers assaulted him.
Kumar told the police that he was working at the firm for a year, but was not getting his salary for the last three months. He approached Babu who was at the head office on Queen's road on November 13 when all the hell broke loose.
When he met Babu and demanded his salary, Babu accused him of stealing secret information from the office. He was then dragged to a balcony on the fourth floor where he was beaten up black and blue by Babu. Kumar was locked up in a room for the entire day and was released at night.
Kumar got himself treated at K.C. General Hospital the next day. Kumar, who initially did not file a complaint following a threat from his boss, was approached by the Vidhana Soudha police on Dec. 6 who asked him about the sharing of company's secret information. It was then Kumar narrated the incident to the police.
The police have registered a case against Babu, his son Ubedh, and bouncers Balasubramanya and Kishore.
