Hyderabad: 25-year-old techie rams bike into median, dies
He was riding two-wheeler without wearing helmet.
Hyderabad: A version to wearing helmets claimed one more young life here on Thursday. A 25-year-old software engineer from East Godavari district not only was without a helmet but was also riding his two-wheeler at a high speed and rammed his vehicle into a median on the Bachupally-Miyapur road around 7.40 am.
Death was instantaneous as he sustained multiple injuries, including grievously on the head.
The techie, D. Vijay Kumar, was proceeding to Miyapur from Bachupally, and lost control and rammed the vehicle into the median, according to police. The impact was such that the two-wheeler rider was thrown into the air and collapsed against an electric pole. Some passersby, who witnessed the accident, informed the police.
By the time the police arrived, Mr Vijay Kumar was dead. According to Miyapur Inspector of police S Venkatesh, the deceased, who was not wearing a helmet, had suffered multiple injuries. He hailed from Duddikuru village in East Godavari district and was working as a software engineer at a private firm in Jubilee Hills.
A case was registered and his body shifted to Gandhi Hospital mortuary for post-mortem.
