Chennai: A Tasmac worker was arrested by city police on Wednesday for murdering his co-worker at Maduravoyal on Tuesday.
Police said, deceased Mahendran (60), lived and worked at a Tasmac outlet at Alapakkam, Maduravoyal. On Tuesday morning, Mahendran's relative Seeman (47) had plans to meet him around 12 noon, but found Mahendran dead in the parking lot. A case was registered with the Maduravoyal police and the body was sent to Kilpauk Medical College. The post-mortem report from stated that he died of head injuries. After enquiries, police arrested Raja (23) of Ramanathapuram. He confessed to police that Mahendran had not opened the Tasmac shop on time that day and he scolded him for not cleaning the premises. He pushed him and his head hit an iron gate. He later moved the body and fled. He was remanded.
