3-member panel begins probe into minor's rape in Bhainsa

HYDERABAD: Taking suo motu cognizance of the sexual abuse of a minor girl in Bhainsa town, the TS Commission for Protection of Child Rights (TSCPCR) constituted a three-member committee to probe into the incident. The panel has been directed to submit its findings within 15 days.

The commission nominated B. Aparna, Y. Brundadhar Rao and Ch. Raga Jyothi, who have started the inquiry in Nirmal. 

Meanwhile, Rao and Jyothi visited Gandhi Hospital in Secunderabad, where the victim is undergoing treatment. They subsequently reported their preliminary findings to the commission.

Earlier, DGP M. Mahendar Reddy, instructed the women’s safety department (WSD) to make it a watertight case in order to ensure conviction of the accused. It is learnt that an 18-year-old raped a three-and-half- year girl when her parents were not at home. The accused had abducted her while she was playing in front of her residence, said police.
