Alwal: Cash, jewellery stolen from techie's house, suspects unidentified

Hyderabad: Unidentified suspects broke into the locked house of a techie at Alwal and decamped with gold jewellery and cash. The theft was noticed on Sunday morning, when a tenant noticed the broken locks and alerted the owner.
The victim, Mr S. Satish, told the police that 35 tolas of gold, 10 tolas of silver articles and Rs 1 lakh were stolen from the house at Panchavati Colony. His wife Pavani works as a teacher. They stay in the house along with his elderly parents.
The family had gone to Mr Satish’s younger brother’s house in Narsingi when the theft is suspected to have occurred.
It was found that there are no CCTV cameras in the half-kilometer radius around the residence.
