CCTVs in trains help cops nab offenders in Secunderabad
Hyderabad: Railway police at Secunderabad arrested two property offenders identified as Mothilal Reddappa Pawar and Sanjay Subhash Rathod and detected eleven offences the duo had committed in moving and stationary trains in the limits of Secunderabad and Nampally railway stations. SP Railways Shaik Saleema said gold articles weighing 309 grams pertaining to these offences have been recovered from them.
“Footage from the CCTVs installed in the trains gave out clues of the accused. Accordingly information was developed and they were nabbed on Wednesday,” she said.
The duo hailing from Karnataka are friends. They target women passengers at railway stations and also in stationary and moving trains. They were involved in two snatching cases and nine bag lifting cases. They were produced before the court and sent to judicial remand.
