HYDERABAD: TSNAB (anti-narcotics bureau) police on Thursday served notices to the makers of the new Tollywood flick ‘Baby’, starring Anand Devarakonda, over a scene depicting actors using drugs and apprehension it might encourage such public behaviour.

“Some of the scenes clearly show the actors consuming drugs and this can have a severe impact on viewers, particularly teens. The advisory notice is about cautioning them to refrain from such display and also the ill-effects surrounding it,” said TSNAB director and city police commissioner C.V. Anand.

He also said that they will soon hold a meeting with the film industry body and other stakeholders to sensitise them on showing drug consumption in movies.

After the notice, specific scenes in the ‘Baby’ movie were screened with a disclaimer on drug consumption, it was found.
