Hyderabad: Pandiri Swamy, a habitual offender and his live-in partner Raheema Begum, who were involved in a series of property offences in different parts of Cyberabad commissionerate, were arrested by the police on Wednesday. While Swamy alone was involved in 24 offences in the past, the duo together were involved in 13 offences in July and August 2023.

The 13 offences include seven at Dundigal, 2 at Suraram, 3 at Bachupally and one at IDA Bollaram PS under Sangareddy district. Based on clues from CCTVs and other evidence, the duo was nabbed.

Swamy, who is a habitual offender, confesses the crime whenever his case comes up for trial and does not challenge the case. As a result, he gets
small punishments in the court. In the same manner, he was imprisoned for one year and came out of the prison in July 2023.

After coming out, he started committing offences and took the help of Begum for disposal. He would commit offences only between 12 am and 4 am and only when he is drunk. He is also addicted to gambling and also spent most of his earnings by betting on mobile games. They were sent to judicial remand.
