Andhra Pradesh: Bus driver dozes off, 10 injured

Guntur: Ten bus passengers were injured in the early hours of Friday at Ankireddipalem on the outskirts of the Guntur when the driver crashed it into the road divider. The bus belonging to Morning Star travels was going to Vijayawada from Tirupathi when the driver dozed off. Locals rushed to the scene and shifted the injured to hospital. 

The bus (AP07TT5555) left Tirupathi with 25 passengers. At Guntur, some of them got down. According to the passengers, the accident happened within five minutes after starting from Guntur. V.V. Sambasiva Rao and Pramila Devi of Gorantla in Guntur, T. Narasinga Rao of Vishakapatnam, Subramanyam, Rajesh, Venkatalakshmi and others got stuck in the bus.
