Telangana: Thieves injure minor girl

Hyderabad: Thieves burgled a techie’s farmhouse in Gandipet and injured his 11-year-old niece. Police said two persons entered techie Manoj Kumar's house and took way two laptops and mobile phones. The girl who heard the noise, wake up and raised an alarm.
The thieves closed her mouth, wrapped her in a bed sheet, brought her out, threatened her with a knife and left her at the gate. Police said Manoj Kumar and his family are staying in a farmhouse in Guja Hills in Gandipet village in Narsingi police station limits. His 11-year-old niece came to stay with them as it was vacation.
At midnight, two persons entered the house using a ladder. They took two laptops and three smart phones and were getting out when the girl saw them.
"When she raised an alarm they closed her mouth and took her out wrapped in a bed sheet. Manoj, who was sleeping in another room, woke up and tried to come out but it was latched from the outside," Rajendranagar ACP K. Ganga Reddy said.
Meanwhile, neighbours, who were alerted by Manoj's shouting rushed to the house and opened the door. By then the robbers left the child at the gate and fled. They also threatened her with a knife and asked her not to tell anyone about the incident.
Five held for selling fakes
Police arrested five traders on Saturday who were allegedly selling duplicate cosmetic goods at Lad Bazaar. The fake goods were carrying the name of Hindustan Uniliver. The accused were identified as Dinesh Kumar Sugandhi, Mohammed Ali, Abhishek Vijay Wargi, Dinesh Kumar and Syed Mustafa Ali.
