Andhra Pradesh: Man has affair, kills wife

The murder which took place a month ago and came to light on Sunday.

Faisal's mother Meenakshi's statement pointed the needle of suspicion at Sangh Parivar organisations and their involvement in the murder which was reportedly in retaliation for Faisal's and his family's recent conversion to Islam.

Vijayawada: A man killed his wife and buried her in between two apartments. He laid a cement slab over the grave to cover up the murder. The murder which took place a month ago and came to light on Sunday.

Pasireddy Durga Prasad, 36, an electrician, married Mariamma 10 years ago and they had two daughters. Two years ago, he became involved with another and started harassing his wife. They used to quarrel often and the family members brokered truce on multiple occasions.

Their quarrel once went to the police, who counselled the couple. Ater this, Durga Rao moved to another house in the same colony. About a month ago, he killed his wife by strangling her at the new house and buried the body in between two apartment blocks adjacent to the house. He constructed a cement block over the grave to cover up the murder.

Her mother Pepalli Kumari started enquiring about Mariamma. Durga Prasad initially said she has gone to Visakhapatnam and later claimed she eloped. As Durga Rao was giving multiple versions, Kamari went Ajitsingh Nagar police whose investigation revealed the murder.
