Hyderabad: Resort murder accused had pre-planned escape
While inquiring about how Saiprasad and Shiresha reached the resort, cops found that they travelled in a car which Majeed had booked.
Hyderabad: Police on Monday said that Royyala Saiprasad, 22, who killed his lover Peerlagudem Shiresha on Thursday, had told his friend that he would kill her if she rejected his proposal.
The friend, Sheikh Abdul Majeed, had booked the car in which they travelled and was waiting outside Pragathi Resorts, where the murder took place. The police has arrested Majeed from Gudur in AP.
DCP, Shamshabad, P.V. Padmaja said Saiprasad and Majeed became friends while working at Vins Bio Products Company before Prasad began to pursue his diploma course.
Last Thursday, Prasad told Majeed of his plan to kill Shiresha and sought his help in reaching the resort. As Saiprasad did not have a licence and Aadhaar card, he requested Majeed who booked a car from Zoomcar using his identity papers.
While inquiring about how Saiprasad and Shiresha reached the resort, cops found that they travelled in a car which Majeed had booked. They first went to Dream Valley Resorts, but were denied admission as they were not married. Saiprasad booked a cottage at Pragati Resorts using Shiresha’s mobile phone.
After dropping the duo, Majeed waited at a distance outside the resort. He sped away when Saiprasad alerted him saying that cops had got information of the murder. Based on the clues, Majeed was nabbed at Gudur. He was produced before the court and sent to remand on Monday.
