6 held for stealing from site
On inquiry, it was revealed that the accused were on their way to Kompally from Keesara to sell the material.
Hyderabad: Six men, including two carpenters and four students, were arrested on Thursday for stealing material worth Rs 60,000 from a construction site. The carpenters have been working there for the past one month.
Medchal police nabbed the six during their patrolling at Kadlakoya cross road while they were on their way to sell the stolen materials. Cops noticed a huge stock of material being carried by them. On inquiry, it was revealed that the accused were on their way to Kompally from Keesara to sell the material.
Madireddy Srinivas, 40, MD of a molecular centre hired Cheeloju Ganesh, 22, and Keshoju Anil Kumar, 27, as carpenters to set up his work space in May. They worked as carpenters.
“On May 27, both the accused came to the construction site and took away 20 litre paint cans, carpentry tools and LED lights and other materials amounting to Rs 60,000. They involved four others Bodhu Abhishek, 19, Mittapally Shiva, 26, Shaik Sohail, 22, and L. Thaneesh Kumar, 19, a degree student,” said Dasu, S-I, Medchal.
A case has been registered under Section 380 of the IPC at the Medchal police station.
