Tamil Nadu: Nine killed, 25 hurt in bus mishap

Thanjavur: Nine persons were killed and 25 persons were injured when a state government transport corporation bus coming to Kumbakonam to Tirupur rammed into a mini truck carrying iron rods at Vallam near here on Friday . The truck carrying iron rods used for construction purposes  was coming to Thanjavur from Tiruchy. The police said that the speeding bus wheered to the side, may be due to tyre burst, and rammed into the truck going in front.
