One held for recce at Vivekananda Reddy\'s house

KADAPA: Pulivendula police on Saturday took one Manikantha Reddy into custody following a complaint lodged by Dr Sunita Reddy, daughter of former minister late Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy. It is learned that she had on Friday lodged a complaint with the police alleging that Manikantha Reddy held a recce at her home in the evening of August 10. With the directions of the SP, Pulivendula DSP took the accused into custody.
The police registered a bind over case against the accused and produced him before the Jammalamadugu revenue divisional officer.
Manikanta Reddy told reporters on Saturday night that he was a regular petty trader and organised festivals and other events. He said as part of this, he went for rental rooms near Vivekananda Reddy’s house on August 10. Noticing him Sunita filed a case against him, he said and added, “We belong to small families and the bind over case and the police investigation are life threatening.” He appealed to the police to protect his life from any harm.
