Hyderabad: Woman on bike killed by hit and run driver

As soon as the bike got down the flyover near new NIA building at Hi-tec City Railway Station.

Hyderabad: A woman was killed while her son and nephew suffered injuries when the bike they were travelling in was hit by an unidentified vehicle near Hi-tec City railway station in Madhapur on Sunday.

According to the police, Pulikonda Lalitha, 33, along with her son P. Manohar, 12, and her nephew E.C. Praveen, 18, were travelling from JNTU to Madhapur on a bike when the accident occured at around 2 pm on Sunday.

“As soon as the bike got down the flyover near new NIA building at Hi-tec City Railway Station, an unidentified vehicle rammed it from the rear. The trio fell and sustained critical injuries,” said the police.

“Lalitha succumbed to her injuries on the spot, while Manohar and Praveen received injuries and became unconscious. They have been admitted to Ankur Hospital for treatment and a case has been registered against the vehicle’s driver,” the police added.
