Headless body of woman recovered in Tiruvallur district
Police teams along with sniffer dogs searched the neighbourhood and called off the search later in the day due to bad light.

Chennai: Police on Tuesday recovered the headless body of a woman amidst the bushes in Thiruvalangadu in Tiruvallur district, about 50 km from the city. The identity of the woman is yet to be ascertained. Police suspect the woman to be in her early 30’s.
“Her assailant (s) after murdering her had chopped off her head and dumped her body amidst the bushes. We are yet to find the head,” a police officer said.
Police teams along with sniffer dogs searched the neighbourhood and called off the search later in the day due to bad light. Police said that searches would continue on Wednesday. The Thiruvalangadu police have registered a case.
