Udupi Quadruple Murder: Man arrested in Belagavi

Udupi: In a significant development, police detained a person in connection with the quadruple murder that took place in Udupi.
Haseena (47) and her three children - Afnan (23), Aynaz (21), and Aseem (14) were brutally murdered at their house near Nejar in Udupi district on Sunday. Haseena's mother-in-law Hajira (70), sustained injuries and was hospitalised. She has been discharged.
Following the incident, five teams were formed to investigate and resolve the case. Udupi Superintendent of Police, Dr. Arun K, informed the press on Wednesday that a person named Praveen Arun Chougule has been detained from Kudachi in the Belagavi district.
"He has been detained based on human intelligence and technical analysis," stated Dr. Arun K.
When questioned about the motive behind the heinous crime, the suspect's background, and the possibility of additional accomplices, the SP emphasized that these details would only emerge as the investigation progresses.
Dr. Arun K said that about 15-20 individuals have been interrogated in connection with the case.
