The 20-year-old was supplying the drugs to addicts using code words
Hyderabad: A 20-year-old food delivery executive was caught by the Tukaramgate police for supplying marijuana using code words. Police seized 600 grams of the contraband worth Rs 30,000 from his possession.
Chunchu Nitish Chandra from Madhuranagar, Neredmet, was caught when he was selling drugs to addicts at a hotel in Tukaramgate, said North Zone DCP Deepthi Chandana.
“He confessed that one Rahul from Jawaharnagar, a peddler, told him it would be easy to supply drugs in his official bag. He accepted the offer and started supplying ganja to addicts by using code words,” explained the DCP.
The DCP further said the delivery executive’s ID was blocked by his office due to technical issues and he has been using his friend’s ID for the last one month.
“He collected five packets of ganja from Rahul on December 11 and kept them in his delivery bag. He delivered two packets for Rs 5,000 in Neredmet. However, he was caught when he approached the Tukaramgate area to deliver the contraband to an addict,” the DCP said.
Police have also booked Rahul as an accused in the case and have identified 20 addicts with Nitish’s phone. “Appropriate action will be taken against them,” the DCP said.
