Hyderabad: Woman harasses husband to death

The victim's wife and her paramour had been harassing him mentally and physically due to which he was highly depressed.

The Dharmapuri district police suspect the death of a missing girl to be a case of murder, as her relatives allegedly hushed up the issue and planned to cremate her body without informing the police.

HYDERABAD: A daily wage earner from Shamshabad alleged that his father had committed suicide after being harassed by his stepmother and her lover. His father Meghavath Lakku, committed suicide at his home, by hanging himself. RGI Airport police have booked an abetment to suicide case and have launched a hunt for the suspects. 

According to the police, the victim’s family hailing from Mahbubnagar district had migrated to the city and were residing in huts near Shamshabad railway station.

Around 15 years ago, Lakku’s wife Dharmi died and since then he was living with his only son Mathru. Twelve years ago, he remarried a lady called Naari.

But five years back, his second wife got involved in an illicit relationship with another man Kheerya. Mathru told cops that Naari and her paramour Kheerya had been harassing his father mentally and physically due to which he was highly depressed.

On Wednesday they picked up an argument with Lakku. Feeling humiliated by his wife and her paramour, Lakku hanged himself at their home. Mathru who returned home from work in the evening saw his father hanging and brought him down, but he was already dead.

An abetment to suicide case was registered at the RGI Airport police station and the body was handed over to the family after an autopsy. Police said that the case is under investigation.
