Suvarnabhoomi MD to face questioning
HYDERABAD: Jubilee Hills police said they were looking for a person who posed as an employee of Suvarnabhoomi Developers Company Pvt Ltd, collected over ₹2.5 crores from over 30 persons after promising to allot them plots and decamped with the cash.
According to Jubilee Hills sub-inspector N. Narsingha Rao, the victims on Thursday lodged a complaint in which they identified the fraudster as one Gangi Reddy Dasatigiri Reddy. “We spoke with the company owners and they informed us that they had no such person on their rolls,” the SI said.
The accused gave the victims forged receipts. They realised they had been cheated when they went to the real estate company office at Road No. 5 in Jubilee Hills. As the Suvarnabhoomi Developers office was closed, police suspect that it was not a one-man operation and are likely to question Sridhara Rao, managing director, and company officials Sudhakar Rao and Praveen.
Police have registered a case of cheating, forgery and fabrication against Dastagari Reddy.
