Kerala rape and murder case: Court sends Ameerul Islam to police custody
Earlier, his arrest was recorded on Friday last for unnatural sex with a goat earlier this year.
Kochi: A local court on Friday sent Ameerul Islam, main accused in the Perumbavur murder case, to police custody in connection with a bestiality case. The Kuruppampaddy First Class Judicial Magistrate court remanded the Assamese youth in police custody till Saturday 4.30 pm. It, however, didn’t allow the cops’ plea to grant a five-day custody of the accused.
“We’re hoping to interrogate him further in the murder case by getting his custody. We will be submit a new chargesheet against him before the end of this month otherwise he will get bail. However, the court allowed his custody for only a day,” sources said.
Earlier, his arrest was recorded on Friday last for unnatural sex with a goat earlier this year. The case is based on the complaint lodged by the goat owner. He will be taken to the spot for evidence collection on Saturday.
